I have spent my life studying music. Soprano, here! While baking has always been a passion of mine, it wasn't until recently that it became an all-consuming devotion.

 

I went to Paris a couple years ago, and decided to take a class on a French classic: Macarons! (The photo here is of that very class... and I'm 100% holding the piping bag incorrectly. )

I was intimidated and wildly excited to learn all about these dreamy treats. 

 

Macarons had been an aspiration of mine but I had never been brave enough to attempt them.  I am having an absolute blast experimenting and learning all I can about these gorgeous little cookies. Along the way, I've found myself obsessing over all manner of other baked goodies; cinnamon rolls, croissants, new cupcakes and piping techniques, and even the all powerful sourdough (using my very own starter, Leia).
